Hand-Tied vs. Machine Wefts

Machine weft is the most common in the hair industry today.  The weft is one long strand that allows the stylist to cut pieces as they install, fold over then sew-in, and repeat the process through and through until completion.

 

Hand-tied weft is known as the new kid on the block but with the same high quality.  The weft comes in pieces pre-cut.  Hand-tied wefts cannot be cut by the stylist because it would compromise the integrity of the hair.  For install the stylist must fold over to length desired then sew-in, and repeat the process through and through until completion.

How much hair?

The quantity of hair various depending on the style, length, and fullness you are seeking.  The longer the length the more bundles required.  We do recommend at least two bundles minimum plus you can reuse tracks.  Adorn Hair Closet bundles weigh 4oz per bag.

10” bundle=8 tracks

12” bundle=7 tracks

14” bundle=6 tracks

16” bundle=5 tracks

18” bundle=4 tracks
